Lisa's Pomeranians
  About Me and my poms!!!!!
My husband , Darwin and I and our 4 childeren live in a small town in South Dakota.      Both my husband and I have been raised here all our lives.    My husband enjoys the fishing and hunting and I enjoy just living close to the the Missouri River.    I rent a farm 8 miles out of town for all my pom babies.   We also bought 2 horses for the kids to ride.  And bought a Great Dane to watch the place.   For our poms, we made a garage into a nice building.  They can run inside or outside with puppy doors we made.  The building is only a few feet away from our house.  It is airconditioned and heated.  The moms and puppies stay inside the house with us right under our feet.
I am an animal lover and enjoy any kind of animal or insect.    I have owned cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, trantulas, hamsters, sparrow, parrakeets, 2 pigs  and I had a poodle, mixed breeds, Bichon Frise, Shitz Shu, and my husband had hunting dogs.  But now I am sticking to the Pomeranian breed.  I just love this breed.  I love their temperment, personality, and most of all their looks.
My love for animals came from my loving mother who was raised on a farm with many different animals.  Some of these animals included: skunks, squirrels, owls, turkeys, horses, cows, and lambs.  And I am sure she had other pets, that she adobted out in the wild.   She then moved to town, where I was born and raised with all sorts of animals.   I had 2 pigs that we raised in town until they were too big, and we took them to my grandma and grandpa's house out on the farm.
I am now passing this down to my children, who also love amimals and bugs!!    They are all my little helpers and love to play with all of our pets.
Many of my dogs are co-owned by a good friend, Paul.  He is actually the reason why I fell in love with the Pomeranian breed.  He bought a pom as a pet.   He then found out that he couldn't have pets in the house he rented.   I took care of her and housebroke her.   I then fell in love with her, and I never gave her back to him!   ha!  I  bought some poms of my own,  and realized how much I loved this breed.  So Paul and I decided to buy some nice quality poms.  He is the one I am renting the farm from, so my poms have more room to run and can bark as loud as they want. For in town the poms had to be more quiet with all the neighbors.   This farm worked out best for me and the poms.
Our goal now is to raise show quality poms and hopefully get to show and finish them in the future.
After much researching of the pros and cons and the health problems that may occur during raising these poms.   I felt that I was ready to start raising the poms, and do my best to breed for temperment, structure, and type, and still stay within the AKC standard.

Here is a picture of building we made for our poms.  Our house is on the left side.
Here is a picture of where my dogs go outside and play.  We made doggy doors for them to go in and out of.
We made a chain length fence connected to the solid wooden fence to give them even more space to run.  The poms love the little pools during the summer to play in.
Another view of the chain length and wooden fence.
The poms go in and out of the puppy doors.
Inside the poms come in to take a break and eat and get something to drink.
